General information on orders and shippingUpdated 2 hours ago
This article explains how orders are confirmed, how shipping and tracking work, and how customs charges are shown at checkout.
How your order is confirmed
After you place an order, you will receive an email confirming that we received it. If you purchase items from different luxury boutiques, they may be shipped separately, and each shipment may have its own tracking number.
If there is a problem processing your order or additional information is needed, we will contact you by email. In some cases, your card issuer may need to confirm the order before processing can continue.
How shipping and tracking work
Italist uses express international shipping due to the unique nature and high quality of the products we offer. Once each portion of your order is accepted by the boutique, you will receive an email with its tracking number and the courier handling your shipment (UPS or FedEx). You can also find your purchase information in your account.
Express couriers generally deliver Monday through Friday during local business hours. Delivery may take longer during sale periods, Italian public holidays, customs clearance, or when the courier needs additional information.
Each shipment can have a different delivery date. If you place one order with items from different boutiques, wait for the tracking email for each shipment before assuming that an item is missing.
How customs duties and taxes are determined
Shipping and customs charges depend on your destination and the details of your order. Before you pay, checkout will show whether customs duties, import taxes, and other applicable charges are included in your total.
If duties or import charges appear in your checkout total, you will not pay those same charges again on delivery. If they do not appear, additional charges may apply depending on your destination. Please rely on the final checkout total for your specific order.
Local VAT, sales tax, and other tax rules may vary by destination. Italist cannot provide a duty or tax estimate outside the checkout process.
Delivery addresses and missed deliveries
Enter your complete delivery address before completing your order, including your apartment, suite, building, or unit number. Address changes may not be possible after an order is placed.
Delivery to PO boxes, hotels, offices, parcel lockers, or freight-forwarding addresses may be restricted depending on the destination and courier rules. If you are unsure whether an address can receive an international express shipment, contact customer care before placing your order.
If nobody is available when the courier attempts delivery, follow the instructions in the delivery notice or contact the courier to arrange the next available delivery option. A package may be held at a courier facility for a limited time before being returned to the sender.
Delivery confirmation and package issues
Italist uses UPS, FedEx or a similar third party global courier to ensure a quality delivery experience for the products that you purchased on italist.com. Accordingly, the delivery of the products will be conducted in accordance with the courier's delivery policies as in effect from time in your country.
As part of the customs clearance process, the courier may occasionally contact you to request your tax ID number or another form of identification, depending on your destination country's import regulations. This is a normal and routine part of international shipping, not a sign of a problem with your order — providing the requested information promptly helps avoid delays in delivery.
The courier may confirm delivery with a signature, a delivery photograph, geolocation, or another delivery method permitted by its local policies. The courier's delivery confirmation is the official record of delivery.
Please make sure that you or someone you authorize can receive the package, sign for it when required, and retrieve it promptly if the courier holds it after a failed delivery attempt. If a package is signed for by you or an authorized recipient, left in a shared delivery area, or returned because it was not collected in time, a refund may not be available. We will review package issues based on the courier's records and the details of the order.
If a package is marked as delivered but you cannot find it, check with neighbors, building staff, and common delivery locations first, then contact customer care with your order number and tracking details.
If your package is lost in transit or arrives visibly damaged, contact customer care as soon as possible. Include your order number and, for damaged items, photos of the packaging and product. We will work with the courier to investigate and determine the appropriate resolution.
Some products made with exotic skins or other regulated materials may require special import permits or may be restricted in certain destinations. Please check your destination country's import requirements before ordering these products.
